Writing poems has always been one of her greatest passions. She grew up in Olean, New York, and have been blessed with a full and beautiful life alongside her beloved husband, Danny, as they raised their five children together and adore each of their significant others. Today, their family has grown to include 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many others who lovingly call them “Mom Barr & Pa Barr.”
The Christmas story is inspired by one of her poems, “An Old-Fashioned Christmas,” and reflects what the holiday season was like during my childhood—simple, heartfelt, and full of warmth.
Be sure to check out my other book, “Poems by Sherri Barr,” a collection that explores children’s dreams, love, holidays, the Allegany River, and more. And stay tuned—there are many more books to come.
